About

James Kluegel is Professor of Sociology. His research focuses on the sources and consequences of beliefs about economic inequality, and on intergroup beliefs and attitudes. He examines how beliefs about social justice and social inequality are shaped by personal and societal conditions. Kluegel has served as an Associate Editor of the American Sociological Review and was a member of the General Social Survey Board of Overseers. He was co-principal inverstigator of an NSF grant, "American Perceptions of Justice: An East-West Collaborative Study."
